APPLICATIONS ENGINEER – Electrical & Switchgear for Windward Talent Group

A BSEE or equivalent and a minimum 3 years of experience working in a design, applications or field service role with a focus on POWER PRODUCTS. Solid understanding of communications hardware, topologies and protocols with emphasis on Ethernet networking, Modbus and IEC 61850. Familiarity with the National Electric Code and UL / IEEE standards for various types of electrical equipment (UL 891, 1558, 508A; IEEE C37.20, etc.)

Provide pre-order engineering support and assist with high-level design challenges. Provide technical support to the design engineering team and collaborate with mechanical design and production teams. Provide input to the development team on potential new products or changes to existing products. Provide technical/engineering input on customer plans, specifications and scope of work for new and prospective equipment orders before hand-off to the design engineering team. Assist with building a library of standard design details, tools and CAD resources for repeatable applications. Provide technical training on company products and applications.
