About Ursa Major
Ursa Major is building the future of American aerospace propulsion. You will join a team pioneering rocket engine development for defense and space. We provide essential, reliable domestic rocket propulsion for critical national security demands. Our flight-proven engines power hypersonic missions and satellite launches. We deliver robust solutions to government agencies, prime contractors, and commercial space companies. Join us in shaping the next generation of aerospace technology.
How We Work
You will thrive in a culture of open communication and collaborative problem-solving. We emphasize transparency and a "no ego" approach to our work. We value results, respect, and resilience in every team member. You will take significant responsibility and ownership of your projects. We offer a flexible work schedule, and many positions allow hybrid or remote work. The Senior FPGA Verification Engineer role is remote-first.
Engineering at Ursa Major
You will engineer advanced rocket propulsion systems, from design to flight. Our team develops liquid rocket engines like Hadley and Draper, plus solid rocket motors. We also craft propulsion for satellite maneuvering and launch vehicles. You will leverage cutting-edge additive manufacturing (3D printing) for rapid production. This role involves complex verification of ASIC/FPGA designs for avionics systems. You will architect test benches and ensure functionality for critical aerospace applications. We use SystemVerilog UVM, COCOTB, and Python-based HDL simulations. Your work directly impacts the performance and reliability of our flight-proven engines. We've conducted over 100,000 seconds of hotfire testing.
