Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or inventory planning in a consumer goods environment.
- Hands-on experience raising purchase orders and building purchasing plans from sales forecasts.
- Proven experience negotiating price and terms directly with overseas factories or contract manufacturers.
- Working knowledge of international freight, Incoterms, customs, and import compliance.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including building stock and landed-cost models.
- Experience with Cin7 or a comparable inventory management system.
- Availability to work during Australian business hours.
- Experience sourcing from China, including factory visits, QC inspections, and managing Chinese suppliers, is a nice to have.
- Experience supplying Australia and the US simultaneously is a nice to have.
- Experience across AU, US, and China time zones is a nice to have.
- Background in organic, consumer packaged goods, or health and wellness product supply chains is a nice to have.
Responsibilities
- Update purchasing plans for Australia and the US using sales forecasts and changes in demand.
- Assess stock on hand and on order by SKU, channel, and market, and flag shortfalls and overstock.
- Set and maintain reorder points, safety stock, and weeks-of-cover targets.
- Raise, issue, and track purchase orders with factories and suppliers, and keep Cin7 records accurate.
- Reconcile inventory and landed COGS with Finance through Xero.
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs, payment terms, and lead times with factories and contract manufacturers.
- Build landed-cost models and manage production timelines, supplier quality standards, and alternative sourcing.
- Book and manage inbound sea and air freight, customs clearance, duties, import documentation, and 3PL receiving.
- Report on inventory spend, stock position, open purchase orders, shipments, risks, KPIs, landed cost, and cash-flow timing.
