Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue accounting and technical accounting experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with strong expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition.
  • Strong experience reviewing revenue contracts and preparing technical accounting memos.
  • Global revenue accounting experience.
  • Experience preparing revenue SEC disclosures.
  • Strong SOX, internal controls, and audit experience.
  • Experience working across global Finance and Accounting teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting a first product launch or early commercial-stage biotechnology company preferred.
  • Experience with royalty accounting and reporting preferred.
  • Experience using AI tools and automation to improve accounting processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and apply global revenue accounting policies and procedures aligned with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Lead technical accounting assessments for complex revenue and contra revenue arrangements in U.S. and international markets.
  • Review commercial contracts with regional Finance and Accounting teams and determine appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Prepare technical accounting memos documenting contractual terms, judgments, conclusions, and required U.S. GAAP treatment.
  • Own the monthly close for gross revenue and accounts receivable, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting analyses.
  • Oversee the 3PL order-to-cash process, review accounts receivable activity and aging, and resolve accounting or operational issues.
  • Prepare and coordinate revenue SEC disclosures and supporting schedules with the SEC Reporting team and other stakeholders.
  • Establish and improve SOX controls over global revenue and order-to-cash processes; support control design, testing, audits, and remediation.
  • Lead revenue accounting audit support, including documentation, auditor requests, and resolution of accounting and control matters.
  • Own royalty accounting and reporting, and accounting and financial reporting for the international pharmacy program.
