Requirements

  • Bring deep expertise in Pre-K–5 mathematics, particularly Pre-K–3 mathematics learning and development.
  • Have at least seven years of professional experience in curriculum design, instruction, coaching, research, assessment, or program leadership.
  • Have at least five years of people and/or project management experience.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of Pre-K–5 mathematics standards, developmental and learning progressions, and research-supported instructional practices.
  • Have experience with early mathematics curriculum and instructional materials, including analyzing, developing, implementing, or supporting mathematics instruction.
  • Understand current research and best practices related to early mathematics learning and development.
  • Be able to analyze complex instructional materials and synthesize evidence into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead multiple complex, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have strong written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be fluent in Google Suite and MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Have a college degree.
  • Be able to travel nationally as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support reviews of Pre-K instructional materials, including comprehensive Pre-K reviews and the development and launch of Pre-K mathematics and early mathematics reviews.
  • Train and support educator-reviewers and ensure consistent calibration across review teams.
  • Collaborate with organizational teams, the field, and external partners to refine early mathematics review tools and processes.
  • Provide expert guidance and coaching to review teams and foster consensus on educational criteria.
  • Apply expertise in early mathematics learning and development to analyze instructional materials.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including publishers, to communicate the review process.
  • Explain EdReports tools, processes, and early mathematics review results to educators, districts, states, and partner nonprofits.
  • Contribute to cross-functional strategic and operational initiatives and thought leadership activities.
