Have 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in Government Contracting.
Have hands-on experience with Unanet or Deltek.
Have a strong understanding and practical application of DCAA compliance, FAR, and CAS (Cost Accounting Standards).
Have working knowledge of government contracting travel regulations, such as Joint Travel Regulations/FTR-based policies.
Have experience with month-end close, general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
Have experience reviewing junior accounting staff's work and collaborating on day-to-day transactional accounting.
Have experience with multi-state tax compliance.
Have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Have strong Google Sheets skills.
Bring strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and collaborate across a team.
CPA license or active progress toward CPA licensure is preferred.
Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS-driven cost accounting and indirect rate structures is preferred.
Experience with SaaS or subscription-based billing and account management is preferred.

Oversee daily accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, and employee expense transactions.
Review accounting postings for accuracy, proper coding, and timeliness in collaboration with the Staff Accountant.
Manage accounting operations across the Government Contracting and Playbook product businesses.
Maintain GAAP-compliant books and DCAA-compliant accounting practices.
Lead the month-end close and oversee the close book and balance sheet account reconciliations.
Perform or review bank reconciliations and maintain an accounting close calendar.
Partner with the Financial Analyst to ensure project accounting and revenue recognition are entered correctly and completely.
Manage Playbook invoicing and subscription customer accounts, including billing setup, renewals, and accounts receivable.
Coordinate with Playbook leadership on billing terms, pricing, and customer account status.
Oversee state tax accounts and serve as the internal point of contact for state and local tax compliance questions.
