Requirements
- Have at least three years of experience in the commercial energy industry, including a related area such as retail electricity, natural gas procurement, energy consulting, sustainability, demand response, or solar.
- Have hands-on experience supporting commercial or industrial clients in one or more deregulated energy markets.
- Bring experience in PJM and/or ERCOT markets; this is strongly preferred.
- Have experience in an energy-focused Account Manager, Customer Success Manager, Client Services, Energy Consultant, or similar client-facing role.
- Have working knowledge of deregulated energy markets, procurement strategies, energy contracts, market pricing, and client decision-making.
- Be able to manage multiple clients, priorities, projects, and deadlines.
- Have strong presentation skills and be able to explain complex energy information clearly.
- Have problem-solving skills and the ability to respond calmly to client issues.
- Have experience collaborating across internal teams such as pricing, analytics, operations, sustainability, or legal.
- Have a BA/BS degree; an advanced degree is a plus.
- B2B sales or business development experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of large commercial and industrial clients.
- Build client relationships by understanding each client’s business, energy needs, goals, and challenges.
- Develop and present energy procurement and management strategies, involving internal subject matter experts when needed.
- Advise clients on electricity and natural gas procurement, market conditions, pricing structures, contracts, risk, and budgeting.
- Provide market updates and strategic recommendations for clients operating across deregulated energy markets.
- Coordinate with internal teams to evaluate client needs, analyze market opportunities, prepare recommendations, and implement approved strategies.
- Manage client priorities, contract timelines, deliverables, and follow-up activities.
- Resolve client issues by engaging internal resources and communicating through resolution.
- Identify additional services and opportunities to expand client relationships and support retention.
