Job Details

8+ years of commercial software engineering experience, ideally gained in product-led, fast-paced environments.
Proven experience leading engineering teams, major technical initiatives, or complex software projects.
Strong software architecture expertise, including API-first approaches, modular design, asynchronous communication patterns, and scalable system design.
Deep backend engineering experience combined with the ability to navigate modern frontend technologies; experience with React.js is preferred.
A strong AI-first mindset, with practical experience using LLMs and agentic AI tools as part of your everyday engineering workflow.
Experience building and shipping user-facing products that are performant, reliable, maintainable, and thoughtfully engineered.
Hands-on experience with Docker-based and cloud-native environments, ideally including AWS.
Strong understanding of Agile and Lean principles, with a focus on delivering customer value incrementally.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
Comfortable working with globally distributed teams and across different time zones.

Lead and mentor a globally distributed engineering team, fostering a high-performing, inclusive, collaborative, and feedback-driven culture.
Provide hands-on technical leadership through coding, pair programming, peer reviews, architecture design, and technical decision-making.
Establish and maintain high standards across software architecture, testing, CI/CD, code quality, reliability, and engineering best practices.
Promote a DevOps mindset in which engineers take ownership of their work throughout the full development lifecycle, from design through deployment and ongoing operation.
Architect and deliver scalable, maintainable systems and user-facing features with measurable impact on learners.
Work with AI specialists to incorporate adaptive and personalized learning capabilities into the platform.
Partner closely with product, design, and data teams to define scope, prioritize effectively, shape the roadmap, and align technical delivery with product outcomes.
Support engineers through regular 1:1s, career development conversations, coaching, and constructive feedback.
