Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in backend software development
- Experience building a CLOB exchange, HFT, market-making, high performance matching engines, or margin/liquidation engines
- Experience in building crypto systems
- BSc/MSc or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as GoLang, Python, C/C++, or Java
- Strong SQL or relational database skills
- Hands-on knowledge with Bash, Linux, and Docker
- Excitement for Alpaca's mission and products
Responsibilities
- Lead all Crypto related engineering including spot and derivatives exchanges
- Architect and build perpetual futures exchange components including matching engine, risk/liquidation engine, and public API
- Implement backend services and web applications
- Maintain software quality and test coverage
- Participate in code reviews
- Troubleshoot incidents and bugs
- Provide on-call support for time-sensitive engineering projects
