Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 8 years with a Master’s degree.
- 5+ years of relevant privacy experience.
- SaaS or tech industry experience preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of global privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, etc.).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to align initiatives with business goals.
- Ability to collaborate with technical teams on data flows, architectures, and system design.
- Experience with AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, or similar.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to simplify complex concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Toast's global privacy program ensuring compliance across US, Canada, Europe, and the UK.
- Triage Procurement queue and provide first-pass assessment of privacy risk against standard DPAs using LLMs.
- Mature the privacy rights process and automate request fulfillment alongside vendors like Ethyca.
- Maintain Jira privacy review queues and improve automation for privacy assessments.
- Translate privacy requirements into actionable processes and manage privacy risk registers.
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and deliver privacy training programs and data governance frameworks.
- Track KPIs to measure program effectiveness and report to leadership.
