Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, materials science, environmental science, public policy, or related field (Advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years of operational experience in business development, market expansion, or infrastructure development, ideally in recycling or industrial environments.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience managing teams or strategic initiatives.
- Deep understanding of extended producer responsibility (EPR) regulatory frameworks in U.S. jurisdictions.
- Strong knowledge of recycling end-market dynamics, facility operations, and processing technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate business cases, investment opportunities, and operational risks.
- Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills to synthesize complex technical and regulatory information.
- Proven experience in negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-year strategies for recycling infrastructure and end-market development.
- Identify, evaluate, and engage potential recycling facility partners, investors, and strategic stakeholders.
- Analyze business cases, feasibility studies, capital plans, and operational performance of service providers.
- Structure and negotiate grants, funding agreements, and performance-based contracts.
- Monitor funded facilities against KPIs and oversee technical audits and environmental assessments.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences and government working groups.
- Lead and develop the end-market team to ensure strategic and operational results.
