Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree strongly preferred).
- 15+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience, including time as CTO or VP of Engineering.
- Deep, hands-on command of modern AI engineering, including agentic architectures, model fine-tuning, and harness design.
- Proven experience shipping and operating AI systems at scale in production environments.
- Strong evidence-based approach to evaluation, performance metrics, and cost management of AI models.
- Current, active coding skills and command of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and service architecture.
- Experience scaling and modernizing large codebases while maintaining operational continuity.
- Experience leading large, globally distributed, remote teams.
- Proven track record of strategic workforce planning and high-volume, high-bar hiring.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the company-wide AI and technology strategy.
- Build and own the AI architecture, including foundation model fine-tuning, retrieval, and agentic workflows.
- Deploy AI agents into production to automate core business processes.
- Drive organizational productivity through AI-assisted development and operations.
- Manage end-to-end engineering resourcing, headcount planning, and hiring bar enforcement.
- Oversee technical architecture, platform reliability, and system scalability.
- Ensure engineering quality through rigorous evaluation and testing frameworks.
