Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in an analytics, data, or business intelligence role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL including joins, window functions, CTEs, and query optimization.
- Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis (e.g., pandas, NumPy, Jupyter).
- Hands-on experience working with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
- Working knowledge of Git for version control (branching, pull requests, collaboration).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, scoping own analyses from vague questions.
- Track record of building dashboards and reporting that others rely on.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with healthcare data (claims, EHR/EMR, clinical) is a plus.
- Familiarity with HIPAA, PHI/PII handling, HL7/FHIR, and medical coding is a plus.
- Experience with dbt or similar modern analytics engineering workflows is a plus.
- Experience with BI and visualization tools (Sigma, Tableau, Looker, Power BI) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Write and optimize SQL to extract, join, and aggregate data across large relational datasets.
- Use Python to clean, transform, and analyze data that doesn't fit neatly into a query.
- Independently explore datasets to surface trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
- Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports that stakeholders rely on.
- Partner with product and customer success teams to scope ambiguous questions into answerable analyses.
- Investigate data quality issues and collaborate with engineering to resolve them.
- Document data definitions, metrics, and methodology for reproducibility.
- Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
