Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Index/Match).
- Experience with Cloud ERPs.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively in a distributed team environment.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- Big 4 or large regional public accounting experience preferred.
- Experience in SaaS, e-commerce, or high-volume tech companies handling large datasets preferred.
- Familiarity with Rillet or Stripe is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own key areas of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Oversee high-volume transaction processing, billing reconciliations, and SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606).
- Prepare accurate financial statements and supporting schedules for management reporting and external audits.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting workflows using modern fintech tools.
- Assist with local, state, and federal compliance requirements, including sales tax (Nexus) and corporate tax filings.
- Partner with Ops, Engineering, and Data teams to ensure financial data integrity and resolve transactional anomalies.
