Requirements
- Proven experience in global trade compliance or customs operations.
- Specific track record with US, UK, and EU import/export regulations.
- Direct experience managing customs broker relationships and high-volume shipment documentation.
- Experience filing duty drawback or tariff reclaim claims.
- Ability to work autonomously as an individual contributor.
- Detail-oriented and process-minded approach to building compliance systems.
- Strong stakeholder management skills for coordinating with external partners and internal teams.
- Commercial mindset focused on cost savings and business impact.
- Based in the EU or UK with flexibility to work across time zones.
- Proficiency in English for application and professional communication.
Responsibilities
- Prepare all shipment documentation and commercial invoices.
- Apply HTS classifications and country-of-origin determinations.
- Manage day-to-day customs broker relationships and review performance.
- Monitor duties, catch errors, and file duty drawback and tariff reclaim claims.
- Resolve customs queries for imports and exports.
- Maintain US import bond compliance.
- Collaborate with manufacturers on export documentation and duty-efficient shipping.
- Build and scale trade compliance processes for duty-liable markets.
