Requirements

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in fundraising, advancement services, development operations, or a closely related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, management, public relations, social work, English, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce and fundraising or donor data management, including reports, dashboards, opportunities, accounts, and related records.
  • Strong understanding of nonprofit fundraising operations and best practices.
  • Strong research capabilities, particularly in fundraising, donor research, business intelligence, or related environments.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Canva, Salesforce, and Hive, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn and master new technology platforms.
  • Familiarity with prospect research platforms such as iWave is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to participate in occasional overnight travel for staff gatherings, planning retreats, and organizational events.
  • Ability to work occasional nights, weekends, or holidays when necessary.
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies or equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the advancement services function, overseeing fundraising data management, reporting, analysis, prospect research, and related operational activities.
  • Serve as the primary Development expert on Salesforce, managing accounts, data fields, reports, dashboards, and other fundraising records.
  • Provide Salesforce guidance, training, and one-on-one support to development team members and other departments as needed.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Development and Technology teams, communicating priorities, resolving CRM issues, and aligning technology capabilities with fundraising needs.
  • Collaborate with Technology teams to develop technology and AI-enabled solutions that improve user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Lead prospect research activities and serve as the internal expert on iWave and related research resources.
  • Design and implement ongoing data hygiene processes to improve the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of fundraising information.
