Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in relationship-based fundraising (major gifts, foundations, or corporate partnerships).
- 3+ years’ experience focusing full-time on generating philanthropic revenue from a portfolio.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage a portfolio and grow revenue year-over-year.
- Experience soliciting $100,000+ gifts.
- Experience managing complex projects to successful completion.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to apply insights to strategy.
- Strong storytelling, public speaking, and written communication skills.
- Understanding of technology systems pertinent to major gifts (Salesforce and Raiser’s Edge are a plus).
- Ability to travel for assignments as needed, up to 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Adopt a client-centric approach to provide thought partnership and hands-on support.
- Partner with clients to develop and articulate fundraising strategies.
- Convert fundraising strategies into detailed, actionable project plans with clear objectives.
- Project-manage implementation, including conducting assessments, creating portfolios, and interpreting data.
- Provide 1:1 coaching and facilitate workshops for client staff and leadership.
- Build and engage a portfolio of 50-100 strategic relationships through networking and outreach.
- Represent Aperio as an ambassador and thought leader at conferences, workshops, and webinars.
