Requirements
- At least 5 years of electrical estimating experience, including proven experience supporting Australian projects.
- Strong experience estimating commercial electrical fit-outs.
- Demonstrated understanding of Australian electrical construction and tendering practices.
- Strong working knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 and related Australian electrical standards.
- Ability to interpret architectural plans, electrical drawings, circuit schedules, and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of power distribution, lighting controls, switchboards, cable sizing, and protection systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet-based estimating skills.
- Experience using Simpro or comparable job and project-management software.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines independently in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate material, labour, and equipment take-offs for Australian residential and commercial projects.
- Produce professional electrical shop drawings and as-built documentation using AutoCAD.
- Manage the tendering process including pricing variations, assessing supplier quotes, and maintaining tender pipelines.
- Review and mark up architectural plans and technical drawings using Bluebeam.
- Assist project managers with procurement, monthly progress claims, and project cost reporting.
- Maintain accurate job records in project management software like Simpro or Procore.
- Establish and grow a Philippines-based team of estimators and CAD drafters.
- Develop and implement AI-assisted workflows to improve estimating accuracy and productivity.
