Requirements
- 10+ years of business development experience within the renewable energy or utility-scale solar industry.
- Demonstrated success securing and negotiating large-scale EPC contracts from origination through project award.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience reviewing, negotiating, and managing complex engineering, procurement, and construction agreements.
- Proven ability to develop executive-level client relationships and successfully close high-value commercial opportunities.
- Deep understanding of utility-scale solar projects, renewable energy markets, and commercial contracting.
- Experience collaborating with estimating, preconstruction, engineering, construction, and legal teams.
- Strategic mindset balancing long-term growth planning with hands-on deal execution.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive growth across utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Build and manage executive-level relationships with developers, IPPs, utilities, and asset owners.
- Lead the complete commercial process from opportunity identification through contract negotiation and project award.
- Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams to define bid strategies and competitive pricing.
- Negotiate EPC contracts, commercial terms, and risk allocation with customers and legal stakeholders.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews to evaluate project pipelines and identify new business opportunities.
- Partner with construction leadership to ensure alignment between commercial commitments and project execution.
- Travel regularly to customer sites and meetings to maintain relationships and close opportunities.
