Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years in a platform engineering or systems/operations role.
- Working knowledge of AI development tools and coding assistants.
- Experience in a 24x7 on-call rotation (incident response, mitigation, root cause analysis).
- Experience troubleshooting across Linux and Mac-based environments.
- Experience with containerized, cloud-based infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Comfort with shell scripting and Python.
- Experience configuring monitoring and alerting tools (Grafana, Prometheus, PagerDuty, or Sentry).
- Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, load balancing, subnetting).
- Practical experience with security concepts (firewalls, secrets management, IAM, PKI).
- Proficiency in Git or Mercurial for version control.
Responsibilities
- Design and build infrastructure solutions for implementation by AI agents.
- Review agent-generated configuration and code for quality, correctness, and maintainability.
- Coordinate operational tasks across systems to ensure reliability, security, and performance.
- Provision infrastructure and tune monitoring and alerting systems.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation including incident response and root cause analysis.
- Manage infrastructure as code via Terraform and deployments via GitHub.
- Generate documentation suitable for both human and AI consumption.
