Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in safety and training.
- Experience hiring drivers across different US states is a must.
- Solid understanding of the trucking industry.
- Expertise in HOS (Hours of Service) and DOT regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience in driver training, recruitment, and safety/compliance is an asset.
- At least three years of truck driving experience is considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment process for drivers and maintain a pool of prospective candidates.
- Source, recruit, screen, and interview experienced driver candidates using various outreach methods.
- Understand licensing and documentation requirements for CDL drivers across different US states.
- Assist candidates with employment applications and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Conduct background checks, perform road tests, and provide training to new drivers.
- Ensure compliance with all company, client, OSHA, and Department of Transportation regulations.
- Conduct facility safety inspections and develop accident and injury prevention programs.
- Investigate vehicle accidents and employee injuries while preparing required reports.
- Schedule and present orientation programs and monthly safety meetings.
