Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; business or related field preferred.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or Juris Doctorate preferred.
- 5+ years of national real estate development experience within national retail or multi-unit public company.
- 5+ years of experience in real estate site selection, negotiation, and closing transactions.
- Strong ability to create executable real estate strategies and lead cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Lucernex or similar database) and Smartsheet.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage external partners and influencers.
- Capability to travel 70% of the time, including via auto and air.
Responsibilities
- Lead green development initiatives by collaborating with Construction, Operations, and Finance departments.
- Conduct trade area assessments, tactical strategy development, and site selection to meet developmental goals.
- Present new Greenfield sites to the Real Estate Committee to obtain executive approval.
- Manage all aspects of real estate transactions from initial concept through construction and school opening.
- Negotiate letters of intent, leases, and real estate contracts with brokers, attorneys, and landlords.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regional developers and municipal/state agencies.
- Review and coordinate real estate documents and legal issues with the Legal department.
