Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production backend systems.
- Deep comfort with Python, relational stores, and cloud infrastructure (GCP/Kubernetes).
- Proven experience building LLM-powered systems in production, such as agent loops, tool-calling, RAG, or eval infrastructure.
- Strong design skills with a focus on operability, including tracing, compliance, and reliability.
- Ability to own a technical domain independently, from writing design docs to implementation and on-call support.
- Strong written communication skills for design docs and cross-team PR reviews.
Responsibilities
- Manage core runtime surfaces of syndi-api, including agent loops, tool registry, and memory management.
- Develop and scale the evaluation system to support product teams' monitoring and testing needs.
- Operate production systems, including observability with Datadog LLM Obs and incident response.
- Maintain platform contribution seams by reviewing tool wrappers and evolving API contracts with product teams.
- Design and implement systems ensuring compliance and legal requirements are met within the AI platform.
