Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, including general ledger and month-end close.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and financial formulas.
- Experience building financial models, automating reports, and analyzing complex data sets.
- Experience reviewing lease agreements and understanding ASC 842 accounting.
- Experience using PowerPoint or other presentation tools for management/Board reports.
- Self-motivated, independent problem solver capable of working in high-growth environments.
- Active CPA designation preferred.
- 2+ years of public accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Sage Intacct preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power Query and Power Pivot preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger, prepare/post journal entries, and ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Execute month-end close activities including reconciliations for accruals, prepaids, reserves, fixed assets, leases, and debt.
- Run the company's bi-weekly payroll process.
- Prepare schedules and supporting documents for financial, 401k, tax, and insurance audits.
- Identify opportunities to automate and scale business processes and financial reporting.
- Document and monitor internal controls while assisting with periodic internal audits.
- Participate in the development and review of annual operating budgets and financial projections.
- Perform financial and variance analysis on monthly results.
