Job Details

Experience: 10+ years

Requirements

10+ years of experience with an IPP, project developer, ISO/RTO, utility, or power systems consulting firm.
Demonstrated experience with interconnection studies, transmission planning, and IBR modeling, particularly in ERCOT.
Strong working knowledge of FERC, NERC, and ISO/RTO interconnection requirements.
Hands-on experience with PSLF, PowerWorld, PSSE, PSCAD, TARA, or ASPEN.
Direct experience with transmission and distribution interconnection tariffs and procedures.
Experience supporting large load interconnections and non-traditional use cases.
Proven ability to lead complex technical processes and manage multiple stakeholders.
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end generator and large load interconnection processes from early development through COD.
Develop and execute interconnection strategies aligned with the company’s development and investment roadmap.
Serve as the primary point of contact with utilities, ERCOT, and relevant stakeholders.
Review, interpret, and independently replicate interconnection study results.
Support internal teams with interconnection expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor interconnection reforms and regulatory developments to advocate for company interests.
