Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of professional experience in accounting.
- Solid knowledge of accounting fundamentals including debits/credits, accruals, and month-end close.
- Strong proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and reporting.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience integrating AI tools into daily workflows.
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to manage end-to-end finance workflows in a lean startup environment.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to reconcile conflicting datasets.
- Experience with BI tools is considered a plus.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the liaison between external bookkeepers and internal financial models to reconcile discrepancies and align account structures.
- Support accounting and reporting processes with end-to-end ownership for finance and business partners.
- Lead delivery of accounting tasks and projects to ensure timely month-end close.
- Restructure the company chart of accounts to improve reporting alignment with operations and forecasting.
- Transition bookkeeping in-house and take ownership of month-end reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Manage daily finance admin workflows including AP/AR, invoicing, vendor management, expense management, and payroll coordination.
- Design and assess internal controls to support effective business scaling.
- Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities.
- Build and maintain Excel models connecting actuals to financial forecasts.
- Support leadership with variance analysis and ad-hoc data reporting.
