Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, including workstations, servers, and storage devices.
  • Strong understanding of workstation and server operating systems.
  • Knowledge of networking infrastructure, communication protocols, and technical troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Excellent customer service, documentation, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, manage competing requests, and work independently.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, customers, and stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Technical degree or equivalent professional experience; bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Medical Informatics preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience with medical information systems such as RIS, PACS, HIS, or EMR platforms preferred.
  • Understanding of clinical workflows within medical imaging environments is a plus.
  • Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL, DB2, and Oracle.
  • Knowledge of healthcare standards including DICOM and/or HL7.
  • Experience with basic scripting languages such as Bash, Korn, VB, Java, or Perl is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support and act as an escalation resource for internal and external customers using healthcare software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues by gathering information, analyzing problems, documenting findings, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Manage inbound and outbound customer communications while maintaining clear updates throughout the resolution process.
  • Take ownership of customer satisfaction by designing and delivering solutions to challenging technical problems.
  • Escalate issues appropriately while coordinating with internal teams and stakeholders to drive timely resolution.
  • Maintain detailed records of troubleshooting activities, root causes, and solutions within CRM and knowledge management systems.
  • Contribute to internal and customer-facing knowledge bases by documenting best practices and technical resolutions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities and support remote software upgrades to maintain system reliability.
  • Support compliance with security, privacy, quality, and operational policies required in healthcare technology environments.
