Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant experience in an Enterprise Security role.
- Deep expertise in enterprise security engineering best practices.
- Proficiency in SASE tools, specifically Zscaler.
- Strong scripting skills with Python for internal tools and automation.
- Hands-on experience building, integrating, and maintaining enterprise security tools.
- Experience with automation platforms such as Tines and AWS Lambda.
- Familiarity with common security platforms including Crowdstrike and Wiz.
- Demonstrated ability to independently judge the severity and business impact of security issues.
- Proven track record of delivering work across multiple quarters.
- Must reside in California, Hawaii, Oregon, Nevada, or Washington.
- Must be available to work in Pacific or Hawaii time zones.
Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and maintain Samsara’s core security infrastructure.
- Collaborate with a global engineering team to implement modern security principles.
- Develop automated alerting and response capabilities.
- Write clear documentation and runbooks for enterprise security workflows.
- Partner with Engineering, IT, and Security teams to implement and maintain security tools and policies.
- Triage and support remediation of vulnerabilities and system misconfigurations.
- Mentor Security team members on domain knowledge, tools, and professional skills.
- Occasionally assist Security Operations during investigations as a subject matter expert.
