Requirements
- Degree level education (preferably Life Science), Nursing qualification, or relevant industry experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical data management or a related role within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industries
- Strong knowledge of data management best practices and technologies applied to clinical trials
- Strong understanding of clinical trial processes and protocols (e.g., protocols, statistical analysis plans, CRFs, study reports)
- Independent and autonomous project oversight skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional internal and external teams
Responsibilities
- Provide fully independent and autonomous leadership of data management services (start up, conduct and close out) across multiple complex global projects/programs
- Manage each of the data management projects to which assigned and provide leadership to the corresponding data management teams
- Represent WCT in all dealings with Sponsors with respect to the Data Management aspects of the projects to which assigned
- Liaise with the Director, Data Management at regular intervals to discuss progress and any issues outstanding
- Take responsibility for staff training for all projects to which assigned, both direct involvement in training and supervision of staff
- Ensure all data management operations are conducted to WCT SOPs and contribute to ongoing revision/improvement
- Create and review project specific documentation for assigned trials, such as Data Management Plans and Data Management Files
- Ensure adequate QC checks (including spot checks) and Database Quality Assessments on clinical databases
