Requirements

8+ years of professional software development experience.
Significant experience shipping and maintaining production software.
Proven experience owning meaningful features, systems, or technical initiatives end-to-end.
Demonstrated experience in a startup or small-team environment.
Proficiency with the company tech stack: React, Mantine/Tailwind, Java/Kotlin, and Postgres.
Experience using AI development tools as part of a daily workflow.
Strong ability to communicate clearly and collaborate across engineering, product, and business functions.
Ability to balance long-term technical health with short-term business needs.
Must be located in the United States and available during Pacific/Central time zone business hours.

Responsibilities

Design and implement product features end-to-end, from concept through production, with a focus on usability, reliability, and quality.
Drive technical decisions, identify risks early, and create clarity when requirements are evolving or incomplete.
Use modern AI development tools to accelerate coding, testing, research, and prototyping.
Partner closely with Product and the broader team to understand customer needs and deliver measurable business impact.
Support other engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.
Establish practical engineering standards that balance quality with speed.
Continuously improve architecture, tooling, testing, observability, and developer experience.
