Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience leading project management teams or working within a consulting, program management, or PMO environment.
  • Proven experience operating in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to translate strategic priorities into actionable implementation plans.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management methodologies, portfolio management practices, and governance models.
  • Experience creating executive presentations, status reports, and project plans for senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for technical and executive audiences.
  • Ability to build consensus and influence decision-making across diverse teams.
  • Experience partnering with both technical and functional teams.
  • Preferred: Experience in higher education, government, or nonprofit sectors.
  • Preferred: Background in a leading consulting organization supporting large-scale transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead implementation partner for strategic initiatives sponsored by senior institutional leaders.
  • Partner with executive stakeholders to assess opportunities, define implementation approaches, and develop practical recommendations.
  • Engage cross-functional stakeholders across technology, finance, human resources, and academic units.
  • Facilitate workshops and decision-making processes to align stakeholders around objectives and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with change management and process improvement teams to assess readiness and business impacts.
  • Oversee approved projects and portfolios by establishing governance structures, roadmaps, and reporting processes.
  • Lead and support a team of project managers while coordinating with internal teams for delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and provide leadership visibility into strategic impact.
