Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in finance, accounting, business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance, biotech, pharmaceuticals, clinical operations, or related industries.
  • Prior experience with clinical trial finance, investigator site payments, clinical budgeting, vendor management, or financial operations.
  • Strong understanding of financial close processes, accruals, forecasting, and reconciliation activities.
  • Experience building and maintaining financial models, cash flow forecasts, and scenario analyses.
  • Knowledge of clinical development processes and drug development environments.
  • Strong understanding of SOX compliance, financial controls, audit readiness, and governance frameworks.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, Ariba, or similar platforms.
  • Experience using vendor payment platforms and tools such as Smartsheet, SharePoint, and collaboration systems.
  • Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global portfolio-level oversight of investigator grant payments, ensuring financial accuracy, transparency, and alignment with approved budgets and contracts.
  • Manage monthly reconciliation activities across site payments, vendor disbursements, financial systems, and accounting records.
  • Maintain consolidated visibility into payment commitments, accruals, liabilities, and portfolio financial performance.
  • Partner with Finance teams to support monthly close processes, accrual analysis, and Budget vs. Actuals reporting.
  • Develop financial models to support forecasting, cash flow projections, scenario analysis, and portfolio risk assessment.
  • Ensure payment data alignment with approved budgets, contract terms, and clinical payment classification frameworks.
  • Maintain compliance with SOX requirements, internal controls, audit standards, and documentation expectations.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and strengthen governance across clinical payment operations.
