Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of professional software development experience for Staff level; 10+ years for Principal level.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Expertise in one or more backend JVM languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Scala.
- Experience working with Postgres databases.
- Proficiency in React and TypeScript for building large frontend applications.
- Ability to work effectively across frontend and backend codebases.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proven leadership skills, including the ability to guide and mentor junior engineers.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional environments.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools like Scrum or Kanban.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of features that span the entire stack, from React-based frontend applications to backend services, APIs, and data layers.
- Work closely with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to understand user needs, make sound technical decisions, and deliver high-quality software that solves real problems.
- Own features end-to-end, building intuitive frontend experiences and working in backend services, databases, and distributed systems.
- Mentor and guide other engineers, helping raise the quality bar across the team through code review, pairing, and technical leadership.
- Introduce fresh technologies and approaches to the team while leveraging AI to accelerate development outcomes.
