Requirements
- Deep data engineering judgment with experience designing and operating production data platforms.
- Hands-on proficiency in Python and SQL for pipeline development and debugging.
- Strong understanding of ingestion fundamentals including APIs, CDC, and schema drift management.
- Deep expertise in Snowflake warehouse design, performance tuning, and RBAC.
- Experience implementing data quality discipline, observability, and anomaly detection.
- Proven ability to sequence work independently and align technical decisions with business outcomes.
- Experience using LLMs or agentic workflows to improve engineering productivity.
- Familiarity with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Airflow/Dagster/Prefect, and observability platforms (e.g., Monte Carlo).
- Experience with fintech or lending data domain is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and own data platform architecture, including ingestion patterns, environment strategy, and access governance.
- Decide and implement freshness strategies and batch vs. streaming processing tradeoffs.
- Build and maintain reliable ingestion workflows (API, CDC, batch, file-based) and pipeline monitoring.
- Manage legacy system migration and retirement of brittle reporting pipelines.
- Define and maintain data contracts, SLAs, and data quality observability.
- Optimize Snowflake operations including performance tuning, RBAC, and cost management.
- Integrate AI-native tools to accelerate engineering documentation, testing, and operational workflows.
