Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting, audit, or related finance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with experience applying revenue recognition guidance and related accounting principles.
  • Demonstrated experience owning or leading recurring close activities, reconciliations, and financial analyses in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail, and the ability to identify issues, evaluate root causes, and implement solutions with limited oversight.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including reconciliations, lookups, and analysis of large datasets.
  • Experience applying ASC 606 and ASC 340-40 in a SaaS revenue accounting environment (Nice to have).
  • Experience at a Big Four public accounting firm, a high-growth pre-IPO company, or a publicly traded technology company (Nice to have).
  • Experience with ERP, billing, and close-management systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Maxio, or FloQast (Nice to have).
  • CPA license or active progress toward CPA (Nice to have).

Responsibilities

  • Own the preparation and review of monthly revenue-related reconciliations, rollforwards, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare and review journal entries and flux analyses for revenue, deferred revenue, accounts receivable, commissions, and other related accounts.
  • Maintain complete, audit-ready documentation for recurring close activities, including organized workpapers, reconciliations, and supporting evidence.
  • Lead assigned revenue close deliverables, ensuring work is completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with established policies and controls.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting issues, unusual items, and reconciling differences in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support external audits by preparing support, coordinating requests, responding to inquiries, and documenting accounting positions.
  • Partner with Deal Desk, FP&A, Legal, and other teams to resolve operational issues and improve upstream process quality.
  • Identify and drive opportunities to streamline close activities through standardization, automation, and AI-enabled workflows.
