Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience.
- 4+ years in engineering management roles with active coding responsibilities.
- Hands-on experience building cloud-based SaaS products on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience owning availability, cost, and customer-facing product surfaces.
- Strong API-first mindset.
- Deep background in databases, SQL, query optimization, and BigQuery.
- Proven track record of transforming team delivery velocity or technical quality.
- Experience with hiring, coaching, performance management, and technical decision-making.
- Strong analytical and communication skills for fast-paced decision making.
- Bonus: Established AI-augmented workflow.
- Bonus: Hands-on experience with multiple cloud providers.
- Bonus: Experience scaling teams or technical systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers, owning both its delivery and its development.
- Develop team members through regular 1:1s, growth plans, performance reviews, and direct feedback.
- Write and review code to maintain a credible voice in architectural and technical design decisions.
- Partner with Product teams on roadmap, prioritization, and technical trade-offs.
- Uphold high engineering standards through thorough pull-request reviews and effective release processes.
- Lead an AI-augmented team and apply sharp judgment on AI tool usage.
- Own hiring for the team, including interviewing and recruiting.
- Collaborate across departments including Product, Design, GTM, and Customer Success.
