Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- 3+ years managing and growing engineering teams.
- Proven experience delivering consumer-facing software.
- Experience managing performance, setting expectations, and developing engineers.
- Technical judgment to guide architecture, quality, and reliability decisions.
- Experience leading significant technical initiatives end-to-end.
- Familiarity with modern full-stack development (e.g., React, React Native).
- Experience with backend-for-frontend architectures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a well-balanced team of engineers through clear expectations and direct feedback.
- Own the team’s technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap.
- Empower the tech lead and engineers to maintain design and quality standards.
- Manage the availability, reliability, and performance of consumer-critical systems.
- Guide the team in shipping in small increments using sprint-sized milestones.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Analytics to execute cross-functional efforts.
- Drive hiring and onboarding to build a high-performing team culture.
