Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building and scaling distributed systems, storage, or networking infrastructure.
- Proficiency in a low-level systems language, with Rust strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Python, Typescript, Go, and C++.
- Proven track record of working independently in a high-trust, low-process environment.
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, async, and fully remote setting.
- Experience designing efficient, high-performance, fault-tolerant data storage and retrieval systems is a plus.
- Experience operating production systems, including monitoring, alerting, and distributed debugging.
- Familiarity with git internals and cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to xet-core, an open-source Rust project powering hf-xet.
- Design, build, and operate features within the Xet Storage backend.
- Work across the Infrastructure organization to support scalable storage systems.
- Collaborate in a fast-moving, async, and fully remote environment.
- Ensure high-performance, fault-tolerant data storage and retrieval systems.
