Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with depth in backend (Python) or frontend (React, TypeScript).
- 1+ year in a technical lead, team lead, or project management role with mentoring experience.
- Experience owning team delivery: setting direction, breaking down work, and driving projects to completion.
- Ability to design solutions with AI development tools and review agent-generated code.
- Strong proficiency with Python, React, TypeScript, databases, caching, and UNIX development tools.
- Experience deploying to AWS or similar cloud infrastructure.
- Proven ability to perform performance reviews, interview candidates, and develop team careers.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects to meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience mentoring engineers.
Responsibilities
- Build and mentor a high-performing, healthy, well-functioning engineering team.
- Conduct 1:1s, support career growth, and manage team hiring and performance reviews.
- Own team delivery, quality standards, and accountability to commitments.
- Stay hands-on by designing solutions, reviewing agent-generated code, and shipping difficult project components.
- Break down ambiguous work and drive projects to completion.
- Carry team priorities into cross-team engineering forums.
