Requirements
- 15+ years of experience architecting and optimizing modern cloud-based data platforms in enterprise environments.
- Advanced expertise in Snowflake and at least one major cloud platform (AWS or Azure).
- Hands-on experience with cloud and distributed storage (S3, ADLS, NoSQL).
- Strong background in data integration (Spark, Kafka, Fivetran, Azure Data Factory).
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, AWS Managed Airflow).
- Strong SQL skills for complex query optimization.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Proficiency in building automated solutions using Python.
- Familiarity with CI/CD frameworks (Bitbucket, GitHub, Flyway, Liquibase).
- Active daily use of AI coding tools with demonstrated judgment.
- Experience in professional services or consulting environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, provision, and enhance cloud-native data solutions on AWS and/or Azure.
- Lead operations for modern data platforms across streaming, data lakes, and analytics workloads.
- Translate business requirements into actionable roadmaps, epics, and tasks.
- Recommend architectures for cloud-native data warehouses and distributed storage technologies.
- Deliver automation and optimization to improve platform security, scalability, and performance.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams, providing technical direction and decision-making.
- Present technical recommendations to executive and senior client stakeholders.
