Requirements
- 15+ years of experience architecting, operating, and optimizing modern cloud-based data platforms and data warehouses.
- Advanced expertise in Snowflake and at least one major cloud platform (AWS or Azure).
- Experience with Databricks or similar technologies.
- Hands-on experience with distributed data storage technologies (S3, ADLS, NoSQL).
- Strong background in data integration technologies (Spark, Kafka, Fivetran, Azure Data Factory).
- Production experience with workflow management and orchestration tools like Airflow.
- Strong SQL skills for writing, debugging, and optimizing complex queries.
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience building automated solutions using Python.
- Familiarity with CI/CD frameworks (GitHub, Bitbucket, Flyway, Liquibase).
- Ability to utilize AI coding tools with sound judgment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, provision, and enhance cloud-native data solutions on AWS and/or Azure using Snowflake.
- Operate and manage modern data platforms including streaming, data lakes, and analytics for concurrent customer accounts.
- Translate complex business and technical requirements into actionable Epics, Stories, and Tasks.
- Provide architectural and operational guidance for cloud-native data warehouses and distributed storage technologies.
- Identify and deliver automation and optimization opportunities for customer platforms and managed services.
- Serve as technical leader across multiple accounts, delegating work and coaching team members.
- Create and deliver technical presentations and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
- Build automated solutions for repetitive tasks using Python to increase efficiency.
