Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Education, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in sales or customer success within the K-12 education or edtech sector.
- 5+ years in a sales or success leadership position managing people and strategy.
- Experience selling supplemental curricular products in the K-12 market.
- Proven expertise in navigating and supporting large district or state-level deals.
- Demonstrated ability managing sales teams responsible for both district-level and school-level selling.
- Experience with K-12 software implementations.
- Demonstrated experience using data-driven approaches to strategy with strong analytical skills.
- Proven expertise with Salesforce, including opportunity management and pipeline hygiene.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel 50-70% of the time for customer sites, conferences, and HQ visits.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for both Sales and Customer Success, translating high-level business goals into actionable playbooks.
- Design and implement a holistic customer journey strategy, optimizing upsell and cross-sell playbooks to maximize Net Revenue Retention.
- Lead and mentor customer success and sales teams (individual contributors and frontline managers) to achieve quarterly and annual revenue goals.
- Monitor team performance using metrics and conversational intelligence tools to provide actionable feedback on discovery, negotiation, and renewal strategies.
- Own the forecasting process, collaborate with cross-functional teams to align pipeline data, and mitigate churn risks.
- Ensure healthy opportunity management and pipeline hygiene within Salesforce.
- Develop deep product knowledge and collaborate with sales enablement to support world-class demos and service.
