Requirements
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in SUE or a closely related infrastructure, engineering, or utility data field.
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS is preferred.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Fulcrum, and related project management or data collection tools.
- Strong understanding of GIS workflows, utility data management, and quality control processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, survey teams, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to learn, apply, and share new technical skills and knowledge with team members.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for professional communication and technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Participate in project kickoff meetings to coordinate workflows, expectations, and data requirements.
- Support the development and maintenance of SUE GIS databases and oversee GIS data collection processes.
- Configure and manage project applications including Basecamp, Fulcrum, Bluebeam, and similar platforms.
- Receive, process, organize, and validate field data collected through various software applications.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews on collected data and identify the need for additional field collection when necessary.
- Coordinate with survey teams to ensure proper utility data collection and provide necessary documentation packages.
- Collaborate with CAD teams to support utility drafting, review deliverables, and ensure accurate representation of collected data.
- Coordinate with municipalities to obtain required certifications, permits, and approvals for SUE activities.
