Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience using C++ or Java.
- Experience designing and delivering scalable, reusable, and maintainable software within complex product or platform environments.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, backend development, and system design principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to navigate multiple technologies and system boundaries.
- Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and contributing to shared technical goals.
- Ownership mindset, curiosity, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning.
- Experience with large-scale search technologies such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Vespa, or similar platforms.
- Experience building backend services, APIs, developer platforms, or product integrations.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-native applications.
- Understanding of information retrieval, indexing, query execution, vector search, or AI-powered search technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize search functionalities using C++ or Java within a large-scale software platform.
- Build and improve platform services, APIs, and extensibility mechanisms that enable search capabilities across multiple products.
- Contribute to the integration, evolution, and optimization of advanced search technologies.
- Enhance interoperability between internal platforms, external systems, and complementary search solutions.
- Analyze existing services and contribute to the architecture of new capabilities focused on scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Data Scientists, and Software Developers to deliver impactful technical solutions.
- Participate in technical discussions, design decisions, and continuous improvements across the engineering ecosystem.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges and improve product quality.
- Take ownership of development initiatives while promoting best practices in software engineering.
