- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with a state bar.
- 12+ years of legal experience.
- Experience in both a leading law firm and an in-house legal department.
- Background supporting healthcare, healthcare technology, SaaS, AI, or other highly regulated technology businesses.
- Prior experience leading and developing legal teams.
- Demonstrated success advising executive leadership teams on complex legal and business matters.
- Strong commercial judgment with the ability to provide practical, business-focused advice.
- Outstanding negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong experience with commercial contracting, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the company's chief legal advisor and strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
- Develop and execute the company's overall legal strategy.
- Lead, coach, and develop a small but high performing legal team.
- Negotiate, draft, and advise on complex commercial agreements, strategic partnerships, and customer contracts.
- Lead all corporate governance activities and entity management.
- Identify and mitigate emerging legal and regulatory risks, including healthcare and AI compliance.
- Manage litigation, investigations, and outside counsel relationships.
- Lead legal support for mergers and acquisitions, financing, and other strategic corporate transactions.
