Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Understanding of Medicare and coding rules and regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong logical and critical thinking skills.
- Detail-oriented with a professional attitude.
- Excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to travel to other site locations as necessary.
- Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of EMR systems a plus.
- Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Help prepare reports for the submission process.
- Audit and communicate with practices throughout the year.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all practices regarding MIPS questions and issues.
- Assist in data validation to comply with CMS requirements and ensure reporting accuracy.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of QPP and MIPS regulatory changes.
- Communicate MIPS information and status updates to leadership.
