Requirements

  • 2+ years of related work experience in reimbursement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of reimbursement compliance requirements.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and respond to complex payer requirements for prior authorizations.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and summarize clinical and cost literature.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • High attention to detail and a strong team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to adapt to a small, dynamic company environment with shifting priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Medical device industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient information and insurance verification within the database.
  • Call insurance providers to obtain status on prior authorization requests.
  • Collaborate with patients and clinical sites to pursue and achieve authorization success.
  • Track and monitor authorization requests and appeals through to EMR.
  • Train clinical sites on program requirements and best practices.
  • Provide guidance to sites and patients regarding appeals and EMR processes.
  • Deliver general coding information to physician customers upon request.
  • Document and report field-related product and therapy issues.
