Requirements
- 2+ years of related work experience in reimbursement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of reimbursement compliance requirements.
- Ability to read, interpret, and respond to complex payer requirements for prior authorizations.
- Ability to read, interpret, and summarize clinical and cost literature.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- High attention to detail and a strong team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to adapt to a small, dynamic company environment with shifting priorities.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Medical device industry experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient information and insurance verification within the database.
- Call insurance providers to obtain status on prior authorization requests.
- Collaborate with patients and clinical sites to pursue and achieve authorization success.
- Track and monitor authorization requests and appeals through to EMR.
- Train clinical sites on program requirements and best practices.
- Provide guidance to sites and patients regarding appeals and EMR processes.
- Deliver general coding information to physician customers upon request.
- Document and report field-related product and therapy issues.
