Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or a related field (e.g., Finance).
- Minimum of 6 years of related accounting experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in a specialized area (e.g., reinsurance, investments), financial reporting, or public accounting.
- Proficiency in GAAP and/or statutory financial reporting.
- Experience researching and implementing accounting policies and standards.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and Access.
- Familiarity with private credit and bank loan securities accounting is preferred.
- Experience with accounting software like PAM, Workiva, or SOVOS is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Oversee complex GAAP, Statutory, and SEC reporting activities.
- Research emerging accounting guidance and assess impact on reporting.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and support internal/external audits.
- Drive continuous process improvements for accounting procedures.
- Mentor and support fellow accounting professionals.
- Partner with investment management and finance stakeholders to analyze investment transactions.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic business decisions.
