Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in payroll and HR-related work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookup, power query).
- Experience using HRIS, payroll, and time-tracking software.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws including Title VII, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, and ERISA.
- Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage confidential data with integrity.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and plan work efficiently.
- Must be comfortable with virtual camera usage as an essential job function.
- Payroll Professional Certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full payroll cycle, including gathering employee data, verifying timecard accuracy, and processing submissions.
- Maintain organization compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Interpret and respond to payroll queries from employees, management, and external parties.
- Process payroll changes, wage garnishments, and new hire setups within HRIS systems.
- Generate, format, and audit payroll reports and HR documentation.
- Conduct research on state and local wage ordinances and respond to agency notices.
- Perform I-9 verification and E-Verify processes for new hires.
- Assist with the integration and dissemination of HR programs and policies.
