Requirements
- Advanced degree (MA, MS, PhD, or MD) in a Life Science discipline or a degree in Translation with significant field experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in life science translation and editing.
- Native-level fluency in Spanish (Spain).
- Professional-level mastery of English (USA).
- Extensive experience with CAT tools such as SDL Trados, memoQ, or Memsource.
- Proven ability to handle high-stakes regulatory content such as EMA/FDA filings.
- Familiarity with MedDRA and EDQM terminology.
Responsibilities
- Convert complex life science documents (e.g., clinical trial protocols, ICFs, dossiers, and medical device manuals) from English (USA) to Spanish (Spain).
- Conduct bilingual reviews of translated materials to ensure accuracy and prevent omissions or terminology errors.
- Refine the style, flow, and grammar of content to ensure cultural appropriateness and high-quality standards.
- Maintain and update client-specific glossaries and translation memories for consistency.
- Adhere to ISO 17100 and ISO 13485 standards for linguistic quality and risk management.
